About Me

Art and design will never bore me. Even in the tedious, monotonous work that must be done at times, I can find something to challenge myself.

I’m a strong believer in doing what you love, and found myself illustrating or designing in most of my free time during college. I worked part-time my last two years of school as a graphic designer for SDI Innovations and worked there full-time two years. I got married, moved to Michigan with my husband, and have since started Rachel Ryan Graphics, LLC. I currently work as a full-time subcontractor for Equitable Education Solutions.

I take pride in my work, and that plays into everything I do. I’m much more than a designer. I’ve worked hours of my own time to emergency fact check, write content on the fly, and meet pop-up deadlines. I’ve spent entire weekends drawing, brainstorming, or learning new programs to execute a project the coming week. I’ve worked with ranging client expectations, whether that means being extremely intuitive or adhering to strict guidelines. I take pride in my work, but I know the value of honest, constructive criticism. I’ve had projects do a complete 180 or be scrapped entirely, and I can take a hit. I’m a team player. I’d rather be a friend than just a co-worker, and I’d rather be an invaluable asset than just an employee.

On a personal note, I enjoy softball, spin class, and rollerblading. I’m a big fan of the great outdoors, skiing in snowstorms, lake-life, and most of all my, husband!
